The Rotary Club of Squamish was a major sponsor of Pumpkin Patch in the Park, a community event to celebrate Halloween and raise money for Community Christmas Care.

Organised by the Squamish Downtown Business Association, Save on Foods donated 500  pumpkins which were sold by donation. Rotarians helped to organise, setup, and run the day. Members of the Squamish Interact Club ran the fun games which were busy all day.

At the end of the day there were only 17 of the 500 Save On More pumpkins left and through the donations collected for the pumpkins, a total of $2,478 was raised for "Community Christmas Care", the Christmas program organized by a group of local churches every year to provide food and gifts for those in need.

As well, a total of $787 was collected for Rotary International's World Polio Day.

A whopping 52 volunteers made this event happen, including 20 Rotarians and 17 Interactors with a total of 250 volunteer hours put in.
